Urban glamour
When I received a message from my friend Marie (professional make-up artist extraordinaire) asking if i wanted to do a photoshoot for a friend of hers after she did her hair and make-up...I got excited. Then I saw a photo of her friend, and got even MORE excited! This young twenty-something is gorgeous and could totally be a model..if it weren't for that 6ft tall requirement...haha. BUT it worked out in my favor since at 5'3'' ...photographing UP at people is never fun. So check out this beauty!

he has a secret
I have been photographing this little bundle since back in the day when I was still "practicing" photography. He has grown up into the cutest little guy though and I always look forward to photographing him. Mostly because his momma KNOWS how to put together a little boy outfit! :) This boy was made 'famous' with my favorite pic of him on the aqua backdrop...i mean...come on....CUTE? amIright?
...and now he'll be 'famous' again because of this...
...and now he'll be 'famous' again because of this...
I wish I could claim the credit for this adorable idea...but again...all momma...now go see what his secret is!!
Usually I am one way or another on images...b/w or color...but then you get some that have both mood AND great color...how to choose.........both!
Mr. B....I think your photography skills will need to improve...but maybe i'm not artistic enough ;)
(I've been letting kids from sessions point the camera and push the button recently...I enjoy it!)
Congratulations you two...er...three. I can't WAIT to meet baby #2!

Mr. Z {Senior Rep 2014}
Mr. Z is my guy senior rep for the year. He is like most guys this age...not entirely in to his photo being taken. But that's ok...because most seniors have senior photos, whether they want to or not, so you might as well make it about YOU and representative of your own personality right? Which back in my day...going to a studio with a silly black dress or suit and tie on..not so much representative amIright?! So I give you Mr. Z....

Mr and Mrs (newlyweds)
I am admittedly, under-experienced in photographing full grown adults. Not to say that i haven't photographed them, but if you put the number of children that I have aimed my lens at, VS the number of adults I have aimed at...the scales would tip LARGELY in the favor of the children...like 10 to 1. So when I put a call out for a newlywed couple to contact me for a session, I was excited! The couple that contacted me just goes to show you how very small of a world we live in too! (or how small my town is...which is probably more true) They were referred to me and my post by a fellow photographer who was their wedding photographer. When she saw my name she asked if Joel was my husband...apparently she and my husband sat next to each other in band class in HS. Hello band geeks! :) (that's ok...i don't think i had any friends that WEREN'T in band) So anyways...long story already too long...I went, photographed a couple, had a GREAT time, successfully avoided getting bit my poisonous water snakes, didn't have to make funny sounds to make them look at the camera, no bribery was required, and it was a refreshing change of pace. :)

wild child {Madison, IN}
I had the pleasure of photographing this little girl for the third time in her life. Her mom and I met through a series of family and friend connections...something like my husband's friends' sister's friend. :) easy right? Anyways...she is a wonderfully calm little girl, with no attitude, and not a wild hair on her head. Oh no wait...wrong child. She's a crazy girl full of attitude and adventure and knowledge of everything. I adore her little wild blonde hair and personality, probably because although she is younger, she is a picture of everything I face with my daughter in the years to come!
Thanks for allowing me to be your personal paparazzi for the day Miss I!
